COVID-19: Clinic Re-opening Plan

We want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to try to provide the cleanest and safest possible environment. We are following the combined policies and recommendations from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CTCMA), College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC), the Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC (RMTBC), the BC Centre for Disease Control and WorkSafeBC.

These policies may change and be amended as more information becomes available.

Clinic Changes:

-The door will be locked until right up until your schedule appointment time.

-We will come to the front door to bring you in and provide you with a mask if you require one and haven’t brought your own.

-We will instruct you to go to the washroom located at the back of the clinic to hand wash.  Hand sanitizer will also be located throughout the clinic.

Patient Entry/Scheduling Changes

-We will be providing you an appointment reminder the day before your appointment via text, email or phone call.

-In that reminder there will be screening questions please reschedule if you are exhibiting any cold or flu like symptoms.

-You will be screened again when you enter the treatment room and asked to sign a waiver.

Hand Hygiene:

-Our hands and arms are washed for a minimum of 30 seconds between EVERY patient and after doing anything else (eating, touching any surfaces).

-Gloves have been deemed unnecessary because hands are clean. If you are more comfortable with your practitioner using gloves you can make that request.

-Upon entry back into the treatment room before commencing treatment we will also be using a >60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Treatment Room Cleaning Policy

-There is a minimum of a 15-minute buffer between each treatment to allow for the entire room to be disinfected between every patient.

-We are using sanitizers from the Health Canada list of approved hard surface disinfects for the cleaning process: Specifically a 10 ml to 980 ml bleach chlorine and water spray.

Therapist Monitoring Policy

We are filling in a self-screening log every day on this log we are recording:

  • The date/time of assessment

  • Confirming that we have no Covid type symptoms

  • Appointments will be cancelled and rescheduled should any cold/flu symptoms develop.

Use of PPE

-We have masks and gloves available for use at the clinic. Should you request that we use any of these PPE items the request will be fulfilled with no hesitations or questions asked. If you need a mask one will be provided for you.

-We will be changing our clothing at the beginning and end of each shift.

Laundry

-All linens, are laundered between every use.

-They are washed using detergent in hot water and dried on high heat until completely dry.

For you the client:

Prescreening:

-Mandatory prescreening will be sent via email one day before your scheduled appointment (all practitioners) and a consent form must be signed (RMT’s only) when you come in for your treatment.

Cancellation Policy:

-Our cancellation policy is currently not in effect. If you should develop symptoms within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment (our usual cancellation time frame) please do not hesitate to call. You will not be charged. We do appreciate a phone call, no shows spots are not as easy to fill last minute. Thank you.

If you have any questions about the Fruition Wellness reopening plan that is currently in place please call or email.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We feel confident with our re-opening plan and looking forward to seeing you in the clinic soon!
